

BETH ANN BLACKWOOD
Beth Ann has represented businesses and entrepreneurs for over thirty years in trials and arbitrations, successfully going up against the largest law firms in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She understands what is important and what is not in winning a lawsuit, and a key hallmark of her practice is representing clients as efficiently as possible.
Beth Ann's areas of practice include complex business disputes, breach of contract, securities fraud, majority/minority shareholder oppression, real estate development and ownership disputes, lender liability, breach of fiduciary duty, partnership fraud, mortgage fraud, probate disputes and breach of trustee agreements.
She was honored to be the longest-serving Chairperson of the Texas State Securities Board in its 64 year history, overseeing the regulation of the sale of securities which included formulating regulations, registering investment advisers and brokers, inspecting broker/dealers and prosecuting offenders. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Dallas City Bank and as a trustee of Southwestern College.
Beth Ann is a graduate of Baylor Law School where she was a member of the National Moot Court and National Mock Trial Teams. She is AV Peer Rated and is licensed in Texas state courts, the Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern U.S. District Courts of Texas, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Outside of work, Beth Ann has run 44 marathons and is a multiple Boston Marathon qualifier. She is an avid pet lover, has recently taken up dressage with her horse Larry, and has volunteered with Pet Partners, bringing her pug to Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital to visit patients and their families. She has written four books and her book, Moving Forward, Looking Back, was an Amazon best seller.
